Visit with Anansi and the Turtle, gaze upon the Flying Africans, discover what lessons the Tortoise taught the Eagle, and find out why the Cheetah’s cheeks are stained. Learn the answers to these and other questions from African folklore and fairytales. From Queen Nzinga in her role as the liberator of Angola, to Harriet Tubman – nurse, spy for the Union Army, leader in the Underground Railroad – to memories of Grandma, this performance will inform and inspire.
