Grades: 7-8

Residency

Do your students have the opportunity to explore the rich, diverse world of dance? In this program funded in part by a grant from MetLife Dance for Life, artist-in-residence Sallie Byrd will introduce the world of dance to 7th and 8th grade students at Boulter and Dogan Middle Schools. Students will explore the many styles of dance, including the basics of ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and tap. This year-long residency will provide the students with a solid foundation in dance technique and will help prepare the students for high school drill teams. The residency provides multiple school and community performance opportunities for the participants. Sallie has been dancing since the age of three and is currently a teacher at Artistic Dance Concepts.

This program is being offered at Boulter and Dogan Middle Schools for the

2008-2009 school year.  Call NOW for availability for the 2009-2010 school year.
