Miriam Young - “Mrs. Mew”

This author and storyteller uses her professional experience in counseling and education to engage children in critical thinking about their behaviors and their impact on the world around them. Her original stories and colorfully illustrated books include such topics as bullying, the value of appearance versus behavior, the importance of feeling and acting out love, and many others. Holiday themes are available upon request.
Lessons are designed to meet many TEKS standards in literature, writing, and oral expression. Teachers choose the focus of the lessons prior to “Mrs. Mew’s” appearance, so have requests ready when booking.
