Dr. Jack Davidson & Bill Newton ~ Hoof Prints to Higher Level Thinking Tyler, TX
In this innovative program, students use higher level thinking skills as they learn life science content and language arts skills. Former TISD superintendent Dr. Jack Davidson tells students one of the engaging stories, “Hoof Prints”, that he wrote about imaginary buffalo who adapted to their environments. As part of this process, architect and artist Bill Newton draws an imaginary buffalo that the students design to live in a given environment. Each student is given his/her own activity book in which they also perform writing and drawing activities. A great way to activate your students’ imaginations.
Grades: 2-5 Cost: $75 Optimum # of students: 15 Maximum # of students: 30
